Description
REED CROW LANE TL 33 NE (North side) Reed 3/146 North Farm House

House. C17 or earlier. Extended C18, altered C20. Timber frame on renewed brick base. Bead moulded weatherboarding. Steeply pitched half hipped thatched roof. Originally 3 bays with a through passage, small additions. I storey and attic with 1 storey addition. Entrance to right in a recess with a small hood. 3 and 1 light small pane flush frame casements, a 2 light dormer with eyebrow thatching. Rebuilt ridge stack to left of centre. From right bay a kitchen wing extends forwards, further extended in C20, 2 light casements, half hipped roof, ridge stack with red brick extruded oven on right return where kitchen meets lean-to dairy outshut with a catslide roof from right end of main range. Left gable end 2 light casements, exposed plates. A C19 1 storey outbuilding extends to rear left, weatherboarded, corrugated roofing. Interior not inspected.
