Description

North Farm House is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with extensions from the 18th century and alterations made in the 20th century. It has a timber frame set on a renewed brick base and features bead-moulded weatherboarding. The house has a steeply pitched half-hipped thatched roof and was originally built with three bays and a through passage, along with some small additions. It has one storey and an attic, with a single-storey addition.

The entrance is located to the right in a recess that has a small hood. The windows include three and one light small pane flush frame casements, as well as a two-light dormer with eyebrow thatching. There is a rebuilt ridge stack to the left of the centre. A kitchen wing extends forward from the right bay, which was further extended in the 20th century. This wing features two-light casements and a half-hipped roof, with a ridge stack that has a red brick extruded oven on the right return where the kitchen meets a lean-to dairy outshut that has a catslide roof extending from the right end of the main range. The left gable end has two-light casements and exposed plates. Additionally, there is a 19th-century single-storey outbuilding that extends to the rear left, which is weatherboarded and has corrugated roofing. The interior has not been inspected.
