Description
The barn at Plummers Farm, located immediately north of the farmhouse alongside the road, dates back to the 17th century and was originally used as a cowshed or dairy. It features a timber frame construction, with the ground floor displaying 18th-century chequered red brick on the road side and weatherboarding facing the farmyard. The upper floor showcases exposed studwork with painted brick infill. The barn has a low-pitched asbestos roof and was originally two storeys, with the upper floor serving as a loft for hay, supported by floor beams carried on curved braces. The structure consists of three bays and includes a 19th-century lean-to on the south side.
