Description
This building is a barn and stables located about 20 meters north of Patchetts Green Farm House. It is probably from the early 17th century, with extensions added in the later 17th century or 18th century, and further modifications made afterward. The structure features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and has tiled roofs. It consists of two bays, with a lower bay added to the west, and it connects to one and two-storey stables. There are double doors on the north side, and lean-to additions are present on the south and west sides. Inside, there are curved braces supporting the tie beams from jowled posts. The central truss of the original barn includes angled queen struts that clasp the purlins, and there are queen struts to the collar in the addition.
