Description
Woodside Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century, with renovations made in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame on a stucco sill, with roughcast walls and weatherboarded end walls. The ground floor at the front is faced in painted brick, topped by a steep red pantile roof. The house is two storeys high, with a two-cell, end chimney plan, and it faces south. At the northeast, there is a single-storey, timber-framed, weatherboarded extension with a pantiled gable roof. A large external gable chimney and oven made of red brick are located on the west side. The south front has two windows on each floor and a central gabled porch that leads to a plank door. The ground floor windows are flush two-light cast iron casements with small panes and segmental arches.
