Description
Gangies is a house dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered, topped with a hipped, steep old red tile roof. The building stands two storeys high and includes a cellar. It has a double pile plan with separate parallel hipped roofs. There are two external gable chimneys on the west end and a large red brick external gable chimney for the front room on the east end, with the lower part constructed in English bond. The south front is asymmetrical, showcasing three windows and a central door, although both the door and window are positioned closer to the west side. The windows are flush box sash style with moulded architraves, typically featuring 10/10 panes, except for the door which has 6/6 panes. The entrance consists of a six-panel door topped with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets, which has been recently renewed. There is also a two-storey rear extension that is plastered and has a hipped roof, which is modern.
