Description

Chandlers Lane Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier and was renovated in the early 19th century. It is a one and a half storey timber frame building that is plastered and features a steeply pitched roof, which is now covered with slate. There is a red brick lateral chimney located in the middle of the rear (west) side, along with external gable chimneys, the one on the south side being larger. The front of the house has three windows and three gabled dormers along the eaves, as well as a modern lean-to porch near the right-hand end. The windows are small-paned wooden casements, and the interior showcases exposed timber framing.
