Description
Thatched Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, with low extensions added to the north and south in the 20th century. It features a timber frame on a black stuccoed sill, white weatherboarding, and a steep half-hipped thatched roof over the higher section, while the lower part is located by the chimney. The northern extension has a red pantiled roof, and the southern kitchen extension has a red tiled roof. The house has a long, three-cell internal chimney plan and faces east, with lower extensions to the north and south. It is 1½ storeys tall to the south of the chimney and has a short single-storey section to the north. The eastern front has two windows on each floor of the higher part and a door located near the middle. The windows are flush casement with three narrow lights, and there is a plank door. Additionally, there is a tarred oven projection on the front wall near the chimney, and similar windows are present on the western side.
