Description
Stag View is a house dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber frame set on a black stucco plinth, with the exterior plastered and lined to resemble ashlar. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and it has box eaves. This charming two-storey timber-framed house faces east and has a lower gabled kitchen at the southwest. The main block consists of two cells with chimneys on the rear wall. There is a door located at the southeast corner of the east front, flanked by two windows on each floor. The windows are flush, small-paned casements with two lights and have dripboards. Additionally, there are cast iron casements on the upper left and on the ground floor at the north end, next to a plank door with a central window above it. The rear kitchen is single-storey, shares a rear stack, and is likely original. The building is included for its group value.
