Description

Stuart Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring an exposed timber frame and plaster construction with thatched roofing. The south gable is weatherboarded, and the roof is half-hipped. The building stands two storeys high and consists of four bays with vertical studding and thin cross braces on the south end. There are modern casements and a modern door located in their original position beneath the chimneystack towards the south. Inside, the cottage has chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
