Description
Bulls Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the 16th century. It features a timber frame that was altered in the early 17th century, with later additions. The cottage has a thatched roof with a gable end facing the lane. The exterior includes weatherboarding, plaster, and cement. It stands two storeys tall, with the west elevation showcasing thatching on the ground floor above a later single-storey projection and 19th-century casements. There is a modern lean-to corridor on the north elevation, which has a modern thatched central bay. The south elevation features 2- and 3-light 19th-century casements with glazing bars, some of which are set beneath eyebrow recesses in the thatch. Additionally, there is a modern east cross wing. Inside, the cottage has two 16th-century timber frame bays with a chimneystack on the east side, along with early 17th-century chamfered and stopped floor beams and joists.
