Description
Green Tye Cottage is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and featuring a thatched roof that is hipped and extended to the ground floor on the southeast side. The cottage is weatherboarded to sill level on the northeast side and plastered above. The front of the building showcases a 16th-century, moulded oak door frame with a four-centre arch head and chamfered spandrels, along with modern casements. The interior consists of four to five bays and includes some later partitions. It has likely always been two storeys tall. A red brick chimney stack from the 17th century is located at the centre of the rear elevation.
