Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, positioned gable end to the street. It features a timber frame with wattle and daub infill, and the front is faced in brick. The roof is thatched. Originally a single storey with an attic, it has been raised to two storeys and consists of three bays. There is a boarded door and a bay window to the right, both situated under a pent roof. The cottage has three-light timber windows. The gable displays exposed framing that is two panels high, with corner braces, and includes a sarsen stack with brick flues. The roof is hipped to the right over the third bay.
