Description

Old Malt House is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of Flemish brick on a stone foundation and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door leading to a through stair hall, which is sheltered by a bracketed timber canopy. A cogged string course runs along the building. The outer bays contain paired 12-paned sash windows with raised bead-moulded stone frames, which are set below gauged brick arches on the ground floor. There are part external gable stacks. The rear wing of the house is not of special interest.
