Description

White Rose Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century. It is timber framed with wattle and daub infill, and has a thatched roof. The house is single-storey and attic, with two and a half bays. It features a gabled porch to the right, incorporating a heated bay. The central bay provides a hall with a chamber above, and there is an inner room in the left half bay. The timber framing is three panels high, with corner braces. The windows are timber casements with weathered hood boards. A dormer with a swept thatch provides access to the upper chamber of the attic. A brick stack is present. A 20th-century rear extension and a lean-to to the left gable have been added. Internally, a timber-framed partition is infilled with wattle and daub. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
