Description
A house and adjoining building, possibly a barn, dating from the 16th or 17th century, now divided into two dwellings. Number 30 is timber framed with a lower floor constructed of brick, while Number 32 is of brick with a thatched roof to both storeys. Number 30 is two storeys high and has two bays. The entrance is through a six-panelled door in the left bay, and a gable stack is situated to the right. The upper floor has exposed timber framing with long curved braces. There are small paned metal casement windows. The gable and rear wall have been rebuilt. Number 32, said to have been a barn, is also two storeys and two bays, with a boarded door on the right and similar metal windows. The gable features painted sarsen stone with a datestone reading “WS AS / 1647”. A single-storey rear extension is present. The roof is half-hipped around a gable stack. Inside Number 30, a timber-framed cross partition has been opened up.
