Description

Green Gates is a house dating from the early 18th century or possibly earlier. It features a timber frame that is roughcast and has a steep thatched roof. The northern crosswing is now covered with red tiles. The house is one and a half storeys tall and has a T-shaped plan with a central chimney and a lobby entry. It faces west and consists of three cells. The lower main range has three windows and a door aligned with the red brick central chimney, which is accompanied by an eyebrow dormer located at the eaves to the left of the door. The southern gable chimney is made of red brick and is plastered for much of its height, with a small attic window on each side. There is also a chimney on the northern side of the crosswing.
