Description
The Munt Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century and earlier. It features a timber frame and plaster exterior with thatched, gabled roofs. The building has one storey and attics, along with a two-storey crosswing at the southwest end. The main range includes two gabled dormers. The crosswing, which was formerly jettied, displays multiple bracing on the front, indicating a possible 14th-century origin. A charming red brick chimney is located at the junction of the main and crosswing roofs. The windows are 20th-century small pane casements. Inside, some of the framing is exposed, and there is a large inglenook fireplace.
