Description

The gate piers at the main entrance of Belchamp Hall date from the late 18th century. They are accompanied by short curving walls on either side, which are topped with wrought iron railings featuring urn finials. The piers themselves are constructed from rubble and reused worked stone, showcasing ornamental details and topped with ogee stone caps. These structures are likely remnants of the former chancel of the parish church.
