Description

Flint Cottage is a house from the 19th century, possibly an extension to Wayside Cottage. It features uncoursed knapped flint walls with red brick quoins and dressings around the openings, topped by a slate roof. The small, two-storey house faces north, with the entrance located on the west side. It has a six-panel moulded door with a flat hood supported by deep shaped brackets. The windows are two-light casements with rectangular leaded panes, and there is a canted oriel on the west gable at the ground floor, with a two-light window above. The house also has brick buttresses. There is a painted brick, one-storey rear extension that is not of special interest. Flint Cottage was used as a post office before 1900 and is included for its group value.
