Description
Ryders Grove is a 19th-century house located on Cambridge Road in Old Hall Green, Standon. The building is roughcast with stucco detailing around the openings, quoins, plinth, and floorband. It features a slate pyramid roof and is designed as a square double-pile house, facing west, with a lower roof section at the rear. The symmetrical front has two storeys and five windows, topped with a dentilled wooden eaves cornice. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set in heavy moulded flush frames, with the lower windows featuring a segmental curve in the middle of the cornice above. The central entrance includes a panelled door flanked by upper side panels that are glazed, a rectangular fanlight, and a pilastered doorcase with a broad hood that has a segmental arched cornice supported by brackets. The south side of the house has three windows along with single-storey bow windows and central French doors, each adorned with cornices above.
