Old Hall Green TL 52SE STANDON CAMBRIDGE ROAD (west side)

1/8 Allan Hall at St Edmund's College (RC) (at S end of Main Building)

GV II

Seminary, now a school building. 1905, probably by F A Walters; extended 1932, probably by E J Walters. Yellow stock brick with red brick plinth dressings and arches. N part with moulded Portland stone plinth-offset and mullioned carved stone windows. 3-storeys and dormers L-shaped blocked facing E, adjoining the refectory building, and with a later, long S wing terminating in a 5-storeys tower. Neo-Georgian style with modillioned cornice and sash windows. Central port cochere with Ionic pilasters and a 4-centred arch on each side. Elaborate N end to E wing, facing entrance court.
