Description
Barnacres is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions added in the late 17th century. It is timber-framed with roughcast plaster over a plastered plinth, and has a steep roof covered in old red tiles. The house originally comprised two rooms, with end chimneys, and was later extended to the south, incorporating a further gable chimney. It is two storeys high and has three windows along its length. The windows are flush 3-light casements with smooth plaster margins, featuring wooden casements and an Arts and Crafts cross pattern of glazing bars. A 19th-century timber porch shelters a plank door with studs; a similar door is located in the southwest corner, adjacent to a window.
