Description

Hill House is an early 19th-century house located on Loose Road. It is stuccoed and features a slate roof. The building is double depth and is positioned at an angle to the road, consisting of two storeys and a basement set on a brick plinth. The roof has flat eaves soffits and is hipped, with rear stacks on both the left and right sides.

The front of the house has a regular arrangement of three windows, including two tripartite sashes and a central 12-pane sash, all housed in open boxes. On the ground floor, there are two tripartite sashes. The entrance features a central panelled door topped by a semi-circular fanlight with radiating glazing bars, all framed within a tall reeded architrave adorned with paterae. An open Doric porch with a flat corniced hood completes the façade. The interior has not been inspected.
