Description
The granary at Knights Hill Farm, located 30 meters to the west-northwest of the house, dates from the early 18th century. It is a tall, timber-framed structure that is weatherboarded and topped with a steep slate roof. The granary has five bays and two stories, oriented north-south. The upper floor is enclosed and accessed by a ladder at the south end, while the ground floor is open and supported by posts on bases at each side, along with a later middle row of six props. The ground floor serves as an implement shed, with entry from the east. The structure features arched braces at the openings and cross-beams. There are four small openings on each side, equipped with adjustable wooden louvres. A centrally located door on the south gable is topped with a small hood. Inside, bins remain intact, making this granary notable for its size and design.
