Description

The granary, located 20 meters south-west of Hill Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, raised on five brick piers that run from front to back. The roof is made of corrugated iron, which was once thatched. The structure features three bays of timber framing, primarily made of oak, including chamfered first floor beams, joists, and heavy studs. It has a good clasped purlin roof of 17th century design, which may have been reused. The left-hand bay still contains grain bins. At the time of the survey, the granary was noted to be in poor condition.
