Description
Elm Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has one storey and attics, featuring a three-cell plan that includes a crosswing on the left. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with thatched roofs. There is an axial chimney in the crosswing with a rebuilt shaft made of 19th-century red brick, and an internal end chimney on the right. A thatched gabled 19th-century casement dormer is present, along with carved 19th-century bargeboards on the gable and dormer. The cottage has 19th and 20th-century small-pane casements and a boarded entrance door located in the crosswing. The interior has not been examined.
