Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has one storey and attics, featuring a three-cell plan. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, with 18th and 19th century herringbone pargetting. The roof is thatched and includes a 19th century eyebrow casement dormer. There is an axial chimney, with its shaft rebuilt in 19th century red brick, and to the right, there is a gable chimney also made of 19th century red brick. The windows are mid-20th century casements, and the entrance features a mid-19th century four-panelled door with a 20th century timber porch. The interior has not been examined.
