Description

Hawk End Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has a three-room layout, originally a lobby-entrance plan. The house is timber-framed with plaster render, and has a thatched roof with three eyebrow dormers added in the late 19th century. A prominent axial chimney, built in the early 17th century, is constructed of pink/buff brick and features a sawtooth shaft. The windows are late 19th-century two-light casements. A half-glazed door is located at the original lobby-entrance position and is sheltered by a mid-20th century thatched gabled porch. The interior has not been inspected.
