The Gables is a house located on Drinkstone Green, dating from the early 17th century or earlier. It is a single-storey building with attics and has a two-cell lobby-entrance plan, along with a single-cell wing of a similar age. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, featuring 20th-century pargetting in large panels. It has a thatched roof with an axial chimney made of late 16th century or early 17th century red brick. The windows are 20th-century small-pane casements, and there is a panelled 20th-century entrance door located in a lean-to porch at the re-entrant angle.
