Description

Hill Farmhouse is an 18th century or earlier farmhouse. It has two storeys and an attic, and originally comprised three rooms arranged around a central cross-entry. The structure is timber-framed and rendered with plaster, set upon a late 18th century red brick plinth. The roof is hipped and slate-covered, likely having originally been tiled with plain tiles. Three mid-19th century dormers are present, each with carved bargeboards, drop finials, and small-pane casement windows. Two 18th century axial chimneys are constructed of red brick. Most of the windows are mid-20th century steel casements, although two are late 19th century sash windows. The early 19th century entrance doorway features a six-panelled door, four of whose panels are glazed, a shouldered architrave, and a pediment. The interior has not been examined.
