Description
This is a 17th-century barn located about 20 meters south of Bacon's Farm House, with a 19th-century extension. It has a timber frame set on a brick base and is covered with weatherboarding and a steeply pitched slate roof. The barn consists of four bays and features two stable doors facing the yard, along with fixed windows at the rear and on the left end. The left end has a lean-to outshut, while the right end includes a two-bay lower addition with another stable door.
Inside, there is a high brick plinth that is rendered, with jowled posts and some braces supporting the tie beams. Angled struts clasp the purlins, and one truss includes queen struts that clasp the purlins. Bacon's Farm House itself is not listed.
