Description
The bridge over the River Mimram is a road bridge built in 1801 for the 5th Earl Cowper as part of a road diversion during the construction of Panshanger in Hertingfordbury Civil Parish. It is made of stock brick with stone dressings and features a single arch with the date inscribed on the keystones. The rebuilt parapets have plat bands and ridged stone copings, and the end piers are designed with splayed abutments.
