Description
No. 2 is a house located on the south side of Tewin Poplars Green, dating from the mid to late 17th century, with a 19th-century extension. The building features a timber frame set on a red brick base, which is rendered. It has a steeply pitched tiled roof and consists of two bays, along with a one-bay brick addition at the rear right. The house is one storey high with an attic. It has two-light flush frame casements that are topped with small bracketed hoods, and there is a single two-light gabled dormer positioned to the left of center. The left gable end has an external stack with offsets, made of 17th-century brick at the base and a rebuilt cap. The right gable end contains a blocked entrance, 20th-century casements, and exposed plates and purlins. The entrance to the house is located at the rear of the left bay, while the 19th-century bay features a gabled dormer and an internal end stack. Inside, the house showcases exposed framing and stop-chamfered binding beams.
