Description
No. 2 Coronation Lane is a house dating from the 17th century, located in Oakthorpe and Donisthorpe. The building is constructed of rendered red brick and timber frame, topped with a plain tile roof featuring crow stepped gables. It has a left end stack, a central stack on the front below the ridge, a right end projecting stack that has been reduced to roof level, and an end stack on the rear wing.
The house has two storeys and features three 20th-century windows with 3-light casements and cambered lintels, positioned on either side of the door. There is a slate-roofed outshut with a 20th-century bow window projecting forward on the right. On the right end, there is a two-light casement window with a 20th-century window above it. At the rear, there are renewed casements, glazed doors, and a 1½ storey wing on the left, where some timber framing is partly visible. Inside, there are timber framed cross walls, and the truss roof and ceiling are also partly visible.
