Description
The Grange is a house built in 1761, with an early 19th-century wing, located on Church Street in Donisthorpe. It features red brick construction and a slate roof, supported by two brick end stacks. The building has two storeys, with a brick eaves cornice and the initials "H/JE 1761" displayed on the rainwater head. The front facade includes three windows with gauged brick lintels, 19th-century sash windows, and three dormers above the roof line. The central entrance door consists of six fielded panels, topped with a square glazed overlight and a flat hood supported by brackets. One window on the lower right side has been blocked. To the left, there is a 19th-century wing with a gable facing the street, featuring two-light casements above and below, along with a side wall projecting stack. At the rear, there are various casements and doors, along with a gabled early 19th-century wing that has an end stack. Attached to the rear is a lower two-storey stable block and cottage range from the 19th century, also made of red brick and topped with a slate roof.
