OAKTHORPE AND DONISTHORPE CHURCH STREET (south SK 31 SW side) DONISTHORPE 4/47 The Vicarage GV II House of c1838. Red brick with stone dressings and moulded string courses of stone and brick, stone coped gables and plain tile roof. 2 storeys in Tudor style. Double gable front with stack projecting from left gable. Central 1 storey porch with Tudor arch and stepped angle buttresses leading to front door. Various casement windows with wooden mullions and transoms, stone hood moulds and sills. Flat lintels to recessed canted brick frame. Left end has projecting central gable and similar windows. Rear the same with lower 1½ storey wing to left with 2 stone-coped dormers of 2-light casements with same below. Red brick ridge stacks on main gables and wing ridge with 2 and 4 flues diagonally placed, topped by buff pots. Top of flues project with canted blue bricks on under edge. Contemporary and forms group with church.
