Description

This is a house, dating from around 1700 to 1720, constructed of red brick with a steeply pitched tiled roof. The main part of the house is three bays wide, with two storeys and an attic. The front features a central six-panelled door, with glazing at the top and fielded panels at the bottom, set within a doorcase with a moulded hood supported by console brackets. Around 1900, cross casement windows with leaded lights and moulded flush frames were installed. The house has a plinth and a plat band at the first-floor level, along with boxed eaves. Three gabled dormers, each with a two-light casement window, are visible in the attic. Moulded kneelers are present on the gable end parapets. Internal end stacks are also a feature. There are blind openings in each of the two gable ends, and a small sash window to the rear right. Black brick diapering is incorporated into the left gable.

A later 18th-century, three-bay, single-storey-and-attic kitchen wing extends to the rear, with casement windows, gabled dormers, and a stack in the rear bay. This bay originally served as stables, and retains a loft door. A 20th-century lean-to outshut provides access to the front door. A slate-roofed, weatherboarded lean-to outshut is located at the rear of the house. The interior has not been inspected.
