Description

This barn, located approximately 50 metres south-west of Bacons, dates from the 17th century and was restored in the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a brick plinth. The roof is made of corrugated asbestos and is half hipped to the right. The barn features central vertically boarded doors and a rear midstrey. It consists of four bays with a side purlin roof that is pegged at the ridge. Originally, it had arched braces to the tie beams, but these have been replaced with hanging knees.
