Description

Elmtree is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage located 200 metres southwest of Warren Cottage in Much Hadham. The cottage features modern cement walls built on a 17th-century brick base. It is a single-storey structure with two thatched eaves attics. The exterior includes modern twin casement windows and a central tiled porch. Inside, there is a large central chimneystack with oak beamed hearths in each bay, along with chamfered and stopped floor beams. The cottage also has a thatched rear extension and a modern tiled south extension.
