Description

Walnut Tree Cottage is a 17th-century house located on Munden Road in Little Munden. It features a timber frame that is dark weatherboarded, with roughcast gables and a steep old red tile roof. At the rear, there is a tiled lean-to. The house has a three-unit central-chimney plan and faces west. It is two storeys tall and has a large red brick central chimney positioned a third of the way from the north end, along with a later small external red brick chimney for the ground floor fireplace at the south end. The cottage has three windows and two half-glazed doors, both with hoods. The windows are small-paned flush casement types, and the roof has high-set purlins.
