Description
The Walnut Tree is a 17th-century house located in Little Horkesley. It is framed in timber and plastered, featuring a long range with two storeys, a ridge and gable roof, eaves, and machined red tiles. The house has two red brick chimneys: one at the centre of the ridge and a stepped external stack at the west end.
On the ground storey, there is a range of four 6-paned sash windows, with the ones at the west end being hornless. Additionally, there is a central 4-pane casement window. The front door is centrally located and has six fielded panels, dating from the late 19th century. The first storey also has matching hornless sashes at the west end, all set in exposed boxes. There are small one-storey lean-tos at each end of the building.
