Description
Thatched Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century or early 17th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast and a steep thatched roof. The building has a three-unit, central-chimney plan and faces west. It is one and a half storeys tall, with an eyebrow dormer at the eaves in the middle of the east side. There are two windows and a 20th-century glazed porch on the east side, along with several flush casement windows on the ground floor. The central chimney is located a third of the way from the north end, while a later central chimney has been inserted a third from the south end. Additionally, there is a 20th-century enclosed porch on the west side.
