Description
This barn, located northeast of Carldane Court at Chaldean Farm, dates from the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded above a brick base and has a corrugated iron roof. The barn is oriented north-south and consists of four bays, with a large gabled cart entrance in the center of the southern bay on the west side. While the rafters have been replaced, most of the tie beams and walling are original. There are cemented brick steps leading to a door on the plastered southern gable end.
