Description
Old Mill House is a circa 1800 house constructed with a timber frame and roughcast, topped with a slate roof. A mid-19th century white brick rear wing is also covered with slate. The house is a symmetrical, two-story, three-window double-pile Regency building facing south. It features a panelled soffit beneath a bracketed eaves overhang. A lower, two-story extension stands at the east end, incorporating an arcaded recess. Windows on the upper floor are slightly recessed sash windows, with a 3/6 pane central window and triple sash windows to each side. The ground floor features recessed sash windows. The central entrance consists of a 6-panel part-glazed door set within a pilastered surround and a panelled overdoor. A curved glass-roofed conservatory fronts the building, containing a fan-ended porch and a half-glazed door with blue glass margin lights, with French windows located on either side. A pump is situated on a post at the rear of the property.
