Description

This is a mid-18th century house in Stowmarket, with later 19th-century extensions to the front and rear. It is timber-framed, with plaster and colourwashed external walls, and has a brick rear extension. A plinth runs along the base of the front elevation. The roof is slate-covered. The house has two storeys and a three-window front. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with the top four panels glazed. To either side are replacement sash windows without glazing bars. The first floor has three windows, each with a three-over-six sash window configuration. A gabled roof with an internal gable-end stack is visible on the north side. The rear of the property includes a dormer window and a large, full-height brick outshot extension.
