4/5 Wellhead at Walkern Hall - (30m to W of gate to Walkern Garden)

GV II

Wellhead. C18 or earlier. White limestone, on grey stone base. A fine Italian style carved stone wellhead on a weathered octagonal base. About 750mm diameter. Fluted lower part, then swags with pendants below 4 lion heads around egg-and-dart rim. All carved in bold relief. Wrought iron decorative overthrow.
