Description
The wellhead at Walkern Hall, located 30 meters to the west of the gate to Walkern Garden, dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is made of white limestone set on a grey stone base. This wellhead features an elegant Italian style, with a weathered octagonal base measuring approximately 750 millimeters in diameter. The lower part is fluted, adorned with swags and pendants beneath four lion heads, all intricately carved in bold relief around an egg-and-dart rim. Additionally, there is a decorative wrought iron overthrow.
