Description
The wellhead, located approximately 80 meters east of Little Wolford Manor House, is likely from the 19th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features a segmental-headed recess that contains re-used architectural fragments, including parts of 15th-century window tracery and 17th-century carved stone. The wellhead has a moulded parapet that is also made from re-used materials. A beast head is designed to pour water into an iron trough, and there is a Victorian post-box set into the right side. This structure is included for its group value.
