Description

The ice house located about 60 meters west of Sacombebury Farm House was built for the Sacombe Park Estate in the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of stock brick and features a large chamber that is covered by a mound of earth. This chamber is segmentally vaulted and tapers down conically in stepped courses to its base. The entrance passage is barrel vaulted.
