Description

The ice house, located 250 metres south-east of Barningham Park, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from roughly-squared stone with cut dressings and features a brick vault. The structure consists of a single rectangular chamber measuring approximately 4 by 3.5 metres, which has been cut into the hillside. It includes a rebated doorway and a segmental vault. It is possible that an outer doorway and approach passage have been removed.
