Description

Park Cottage is a house from the 17th century that was altered in the mid-18th century. It is built of rubble, with parts heightened in roughly-squared stone, while the east end is made of squared stone and the west end is rendered. The house features cut dressings and has a graduated stone slate roof. The north elevation has two storeys and two wide bays, with a 20th-century glazed door on the left and renewed 12-pane sash windows, all set within architraves. The gables are coped and sit on moulded kneelers, with a central stepped-and-corniced ridge stack and a low stack at the left end. The left side of the house has a 20th-century door and a 4-pane sash window above it, while the right side has two 6-pane sash windows. Each side has an attached mid-18th-century yard wall at the rear, featuring a segmental arch that connects to an outbuilding linked to the garden wall.
